1998.5-2002 Cummins Stage 1 Camshaft 188/220 (PDM-567RV)
Description
Industrial Injection Stage 1 performance camshaft for 1998.5-2002 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 5.9L 24V Cummins. A drop-in 188/220 spec cam ground for trucks that want a little more top-end pull and lower EGTs without needing piston-to-valve clearance work or upgraded valve springs.
The 188/220 spec is the mild upgrade in the IIS 24V cam line — modest duration increase over stock, optimized for daily-driver/tow use rather than competition. Drop in with stock pushrods and stock valve springs. Always measure piston-to-valve clearance on any aftermarket camshaft install.
Features
- Stage 1 Drop-In Performance Camshaft
- 188/220 Duration Spec
- Lowers EGTs Under Load
- Daily-Driver / Tow Friendly
- Drops in with Stock Valve Springs & Pushrods
- Part Number: PDM-567RV
Notes
- Piston-to-valve clearance should always be measured when installing an aftermarket camshaft. Minimum .025" piston protrusion and at least .038" valve face depth with a standard-thickness head gasket.
- For the bigger 210/220 race-only cam (requires .100" valve reliefs and upgraded springs/pushrods), see the PDM-567HP Stage 2 Race Cam.
- Core deposit applies — keep your old camshaft and return it to recover the deposit.
