2001-2016 Duramax Pistons (PDM-360SXX)
Description
Industrial Injection performance pistons for 2001-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500 and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500 6.6L Duramax (LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, LML). Offered across three families to cover the range from a mild rebuild to a full race build — Coated/Chamfered/De-Lipped cast pistons, Fly-Cut Coated/Chamfered/De-Lipped cast pistons, and Forged Mahle Race pistons.
All variants ship complete with rings, wrist pins, and clips. De-lipped bowls remove the factory bowl edge that's prone to thermal damage on high-output trucks. The Fly-Cut variants add .100 valve reliefs for clearance with high-lift cams.
The PDM ceramic piston skirt coating is rated to carry loads in excess of 350,000 psi and lubricate at temperatures over 1600°F. The thermal barrier coating on the piston tops is designed for engines running nitrous, supercharger, or turbocharged setups — it creates a hard combustion-side surface intended to reduce heat transfer into the piston and keep heat in the chamber through the power stroke.
