1989 Detroit High Altitude Stanadyne Mechanical Injection Pump (DB2829-4725)
Description
High-altitude calibrated Stanadyne DB2 mechanical injection pump for 1989 GM heavy-duty C/K 2500 and 3500 trucks, RV chassis, P-Series step vans, and G-Series full-size vans running the 6.2L Detroit Diesel V8. Tuned for elevated-altitude operation — leaner fuel and reduced enrichment to keep the truck clean and smooth above ~5,000 ft.
Mechanically identical to the standard DB2829 platform for these chassis, calibrated differently. If the factory pump tag carries the high-altitude callout, this is the correct replacement.
Features
- High-Altitude Stanadyne DB2 Pump for 6.2L Detroit Diesel
- Leaner Fuel Calibration for Elevations Above ~5,000 ft
- Direct Bolt-On — Factory Lines & Mounting
- Mechanical Injection — No ECM or Electronics
- For Stock-Power HD Trucks, RVs, P-Chassis & G-Vans
- Part Number: DB2829-4725
Notes
- Wrong pump for low-altitude trucks. Use the standard-calibration DB2829 variant if you live below ~5,000 ft.
- If the factory pump tag doesn't carry the "HA" callout, this isn't the right pump.
